Everyone loves trade shows. There is so much to see, free coffee to drink, and best of all, so much potential business to be done. And the swag, of course. But when offering your own swag, you don’t want to spend too much money – you want people to appreciate your swag, and remember you for giving it away. Here are the top ten custom promotional products that make for great swag.
Promotional Pens: Everyone loves free pens. They are probably the most used of all custom promotional items. They also remind potential customers of you every time they have a thought they need to write down.
Post-It Notes: Along with the above, these rarely go unused. Everyone loves post-it notes and is ready to scribble down something or another and remind themselves of your company.
Mousepads: These custom promotional products are a great investment. If people need mousepads and you offer them one, they are guaranteed to recognize your company if they are using it every time they check their Facebook and Twitter.
Coffee Mugs: Water bottles and mugs are more expensive, so you probably don’t want to give them away as readily. If you plan to give this swag as trade show promotional items, a good way to build some intrigue and a crowd around your booth is to have a game, like shoot the ping pong ball in the plastic box. It should be difficult enough to have many people miss, that way you don’t wind up giving away a hundred coffee mugs or the fifth item on this list.
T-shirts: If you’re going to offer t-shirts as business promotional products, you want to make sure that they’re the kind of shirts that people will actually want to wear. Nothing’s worse than giving away swag and having it wind up in the bottom of a drawer or the back of a closet.
Reusable shopping bags: Not only will custom printed bags make your company look green, but they’re actually useful and most people will take them to the grocery store to do their Sunday shopping.
Lip balm: Another useful piece of promotional merchandise, lip balm helps to ease pain. When consumers asscociate your brand with relative pleasure, that’s a good thing.
Clip Magnets: A new magnet on the refrigerator goes a long way to holding up valued family photos. And similar to the above number seven, when you associate good memories and emotions with a business, you’re more likely to call upon it in times of need.
Make your customers earn your swag. You also want to have a call-to-action on whatever you give away, to incite them to contact you after the trade show. So after reading through this list of the top ten trade show promotional items, I hope you have a better idea of what to give away.
