I can’t trust this advice from someone with a £5 table tennis set that says he’s putting spin on the ball when he obviously isn’t and calls table tennis ping pong! Ping Pong was a brand! not a game!

This shouldn’t have been marked as spam, it’s incredibly good advice!

    wow this guy blows ass.

if you jump and swing wildly like that, the ball can easily be blocked back into the same corner you hit it from with you being completely out of position

If you want to improve at this game, don’t watch these videos. The poster is well-intentioned but copying his tennis-inspired technique will give you bad habits that will be hard to break later on.

I repeat: this entire “ExpertVillage” series on ping pong will keep you a beginner and hinder your development.

If you want to learn decent mechanics, check out the series by pingskills here on youtube. pingskills’ videos are not only full of good form, but he’s also an excellent teacher.

stop teaching bullshit table tennis techinic. footwork and spin motion all are wrong.

Footwork, stroke, philosophy are all incorrect. He talked about attacking a ball from under the table or when in a poor position – but there was no demo ball like this. What’s he trying to show here?

He’s right that balls can be attacked from under the table – with a loop, which he did not mention. It’s possible because of the Magnus effect – a strong loop’s topspin makes the ball curve downwards, which keeps the attack from going long.

He does not execute a loop here. Needs lessons badly.
