To say that the chinese are the best in TT is an understatement.Any fool should know that,yourself inclusive.Timo is the only european who can take on the chinese on a good day.How on earth could you say his win against Long was insignificant?His (Boll) peformance in Moscow,albeit just above average+his win against Long made him number 2 in the world.I´m not RnBciO´s biggest fan,but he´s right in some way.

Here Timo Boll suffers an exact “reverse of fortune” from his last famous but insignificant win (3 to 2) against Ma Long in the team event of the 2010 WTTC a month ago. In addition, he is also defeated (1 to 3) by the rejuvenated Wang Hao in the other match. The 2 opportunities given to him to prove himself on the Chinese turf are turned out to be his 2 losses. The Chinese TT wall is simply too strong for him or ANY European player to break! Haha! ?????

@RnBciO Table Tennis schools in China are just like educational schools but instead of studying math, science, language, etc, they practice table tennis.
Also,the thing about the parents “forcing them to learn table tennis”… aren’t we forced to attend school too? It’s not like they are whipped if they don’t do well. In the end, athletic schools and educational schools are almost the same.

the reality is not as clear-cut as you think it is, parental coercion is common, but it doesn’t apply to every single table tennis player in China.
also, you shouldn’t hate the Chinese. i think what you’re hating is the system. i’m sure a lot of Chinese dislike the system themselves. but they don’t have a choice. in China there’s intense competition no matter what you do, and for most people there’s no social safety net. so people have to work and train themselves like machines.

but chinese parents never ask , they just send the kid to a schoo, to learn this table tennis…
