 “It was a fishing comedy on water.”  I mused from afar.  Jim was in the salt water flats flailing a seven foot kayak paddle.  He was trying to hold onto an eight foot fishing pole while chasing a redfish through the mangroves.   I thought to myself, “He needs another hand to juggle that kayak paddle while holding his rod.”

Paddle or fish?  All kayak fishermen have experienced the difficulty of paddling your kayak and holding your fishing rod.  How do you hold onto your eight foot fishing rod with one hand and stealthily paddle your kayak with the other?  No matter how you wrestle that seven foot kayak paddle, it requires two hands.  Something has to be set down to do the other.

That is when the kayak fishing hand paddle design concept was born.  They are a simple solution to a perplexing problem encountered while kayak fishing.  Who would of thought?

It had been noted that intrepid kayak anglers and sportsmen could be found with the likes of ping pong paddles, Kadema paddles, and modified racquets silently navigating their kayaks while chasing fish.  The principle concept of kayak fishing hand paddles were developed by the kayak angler and sportsmen to stealthily move their boat while continuing to fish. 

Finally it was time to bring the kayak fishing hand paddle concept main stream.  Today, these lightweight and ubiquitous paddles are transforming the kayak fishing sport.

Kayak fishing hand paddle designs evolved from experienced kayak anglers and sportsmen working closely with the paddle sports manufacturing community.  Keeping the kayak fishing hand paddles fully functional was the primary interest.  Providing a light weight, durable, short and floatable paddle was mandatory. 

Paddle evolution has not come very far since the inception of paddle sports to the modern paddling masses.  Paddle design has basically remained unchanged since the Inuit’s first stretched seal skins over wooden frames.  The basic paddle blade concept has worked well until now.  Nominal manufacturing and material changes resulting in preference of weight and durability reflect most purchasing decisions today.   Kayak anglers have declared it is time to adapt and overcome the traditional barriers my friends!

Simply place one of these six ounce or seven ounce kayak fishing hand paddle between your legs or close by.  Stow away that unwieldy seven foot kayak paddle.  Grab your fishing rod.  Now you can stealthily paddle and fish without spooking your prey. 

There are a couple of marketable fishing hand paddles models accessible to the kayak anglers and sportsmen.  After the first kayak fishing hand paddle prototypes were tested, it became apparent that having more functions would add to the benefit. 

The hook and teeth blade designs became readily available and dominate the kayak fishing hand paddle market.  Having a fishing hand paddle is awesome; having that ability to grab onto or push off any object with the hook and teeth is a bonus.

The reason online video is so powerful for business is that it is the next best thing to actually meeting someone in person. It is much easier to build trust with video than with text or even audio. Imagine if you were trying to decide between two hair salons, and one had a website with just text, and the other had a video with a quick tour of the salon, and a nice, welcoming message from the owner. Now, which hair salon are you going to visit first? The one with the video, of course, because you have now seen the salon and met the owner, so youre more comfortable there. Always keep in mind that trust creates sales, and effective videos create trust!

In terms of equipment, please do not be overwhelmed by all of the gadgets and options out there. The fact is that just about any digital camera on the market today has video capability, and for your purposes as a small business owner the quality and features will be completely adequate. In other words, please do not run out to Best Buy and spend four hundred dollars on a digital camera. If you are in the market for a new digital camera so you can shoot some short videos, you should be able to get everything you need and more for one hundred and fifty dollars or less, and that is for a brand new camera. If you are really on a budget, you can try buying one used from Amazon or eBay for about thirty to fifty dollars. And, you may already have a digital video recorder built into your iPhone or other smartphone. If you do, I would encourage you to start with that because you have already paid for it, and because it is super convenient. You can always upgrade to an awesome video camera after your online videos have made you some money!

Now you will need to shoot some short one or two minute videos. Please do not worry about the quality of the videos, or about your acting skills and appearance on camera. In the past, when I have helped other small business owners through the process of getting videos online, I have always encountered a lot of angst and general nervousness about “on-camera appearance” and “lack of acting skills”. But, did you know that today’s online shopper or potential customer actually wants to see real people acting and talking like real people? This is probably the result of the reality TV craze, but the bottom line for you is that the more normal, real and genuine you are in your video, the more people will trust you. So, the pressure is off! If you stammer a little bit, repeat yourself once or twice, or are having a bad hair day, you will probably get more customers than if you deliver your lines like a seasoned professional. You will also find that after shooting about ten one or two minute videos, you will be much more comfortable, and the process will be fun rather than stressful. For now, just shoot one or two little videos and the proceed to the next step in this article.

At this point, you will want to create an account and a profile at a video sharing site like YouTube. I am happy to report that YouTube is completely free to use! There is a big yellow button in the upper right of YouTube that says “Upload”. Click this button and the system will walk you through the steps of uploading your video. YouTube will format the video for you, so you will not have to worry about any frustrating technical details. Make sure that you provide an accurate and descriptive title, description and tags for your video when you are uploading it. Tags should be words or phrases, separated by commas, that you think potential customers would enter into search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN/Bing when they are looking for products or services like yours.

You can even set up your own YouTube “Channel” for free, which is like a traditional television channel except it is on YouTube. Your channel is a place where people can find all of your videos and other information about you and your business in one convenient place. Very interested people can even “subscribe” to your channel, so that they will not miss out when you post future videos. Make sure you fill in your profile information including your website so that it is easy for people visit you online after they have seen one of your videos.

Now, for a really spectacular way to use online videos You can very easily get your videos that are up on YouTube to show up on your companys blog or website, also for free! Once you upload a video to YouTube, on the upper right, hover your mouse over your account name, then click on My Videos on the drop down menu that appears. Then, click on the video you want to have show up on your website, and it will take you to a page featuring that video. On the right side will be a field called Embed with a bunch of code in the field. You just need to copy all of the code, and then paste it into your website or blog, wherever you want the video to show up. Blogging platforms like Wordpress are set up so that it is very easy to add videos and photos in this fashion. Web design software like iWeb and Frontpage also make this quite easy. As a last resort, you could always contact a web expert on a site like Craigslist and pay them a little bit of money (maybe ten dollars) to show you where to put the “Embed” code so that your YouTube video shows up in the correct place on your website or blog.

Thats it folks! You have now created a short video, uploaded it to YouTube where it can be found by millions of people (including your potential customers), and then loaded it onto your website or blog too! Your YouTube videos also have a strong chance of showing up in regular Google search results, since Google owns YouTube and Google values video content much more than regular old text content. After going through this process a few times, it will all seem quite logical and natural, and you will be able to conveniently and cost-effectively find new prospects and convert them to paying customers by communicating with them in online videos.

The house had been decorated very elaborately. There were balloons everywhere. Confetti was strewn about the house. It reached every corner. The house had a huge backyard full of beautiful trees, flower beds, a gazebo, and a large, bright blue pool. For this special occasion, they had rented a huge inflatable slide thirty feet tall, a huge ball pit, and they hired a barbeque restaurant to come with equipment and all to cook for the massive amount of guests. For the parents, there was a nice horse shoe set up, a ping pong table, and a spotless pool table in the game room which also housed the massive high definition television that was used solely for sports events. As well, if the sun got too hot, there was always the option of taking a dip in the swimming pool.

The family of the birthday boy woke up at around eight that Sunday morning to put the finishing touches on the house and cleaned the leaves out of the pool. The house was entirely ready to go. The only things missing were all of the kids and all of their parents. At around eleven that morning, the doorbell began to ring and guests started arriving. Group after group started rolling in. The host family decided that it would be a good idea to invite everyone to make a name tag as around one hundred people would attend.

Around one that afternoon, pretty much all of the guests that had been invited had arrived. The party was huge with a solid one hundred people or more. Most of the guests were outside hanging out around the pool and the grand majority of the kids were playing on the inflatable slide- it was the main success at the party. The pool was also a hot ticket as the sun that day in July was smoking hot. Even adults who said no to the pool invitation had already taken at least a nice dip or dived in for a nice cooling off.

The men slowly but surely discovered the game room where the HD television was located, and more and more men started stumbling in after the NFL Sunday Ticket had been turned on. The women loved that all of the men had gone off to watch the game and took full advantage of their alone time to get to know one another and talk about school related topics as well as share their favorite recipes and things of the like. The party was the event of the summer and the birthday boy could not have been happier.
